Foster Montana exists to help children in foster care feel seen, heard, and loved. In addition, we hope to make foster families feel supported and well-equipped to say, "Yes!"
We partner with DCFS to distribute backpacks filled with brand new, age and gender specific items to children the moment that they come into foster care. No child should be without basic needs, not even for a day.
Foster parents and case workers can request additional items via our form linked above. Our most commonly requested items are beds and bedframes, car seats, and winter apparel.
Since we began in 2024, we have provided 70 backpacks filled with pajamas, socks, underwear, hygiene products, comfort items, books, and infant supplies. And we have fulfilled 8 requests for individualized support from case workers and foster parents.
